About the Silicon Valley Half Marathon & 5K
The Silicon Valley Half Marathon & 5K brings runners together in the heart of San Jose for a race weekend that celebrates the region's running community while supporting local families through our charity partner, Sacred Heart Community Service.
Race weekend takes place Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14, 2027, and includes a Health & Fitness Expo, bib and shirt pickup, and race day itself. Both the Half Marathon and 5K start and finish at Riverview Park along the Guadalupe River Trail, with the Half Marathon starting at 8:00am and the 5K following at 8:30am.
Every participant who crosses the finish line receives a custom die-cast finisher medal commemorating the race. Whether you're chasing a personal best in the Half Marathon or running the 5K with family and friends, the course is designed to showcase San Jose's scenic riverfront trail system from start to finish.
Two Race Distances
Choose the Half Marathon or the 5K — both start and finish at Riverview Park, so runners and spectators can gather in one place all morning.
A Full Race Weekend
The Health & Fitness Expo and packet pickup run Friday and Saturday ahead of race day, giving runners time to prepare without a rushed morning-of pickup.
Run With Purpose
A portion of every registration supports Sacred Heart Community Service, a San Jose nonprofit serving families across Silicon Valley.
